The Norms of Drafting Wedding Invitations

Wedding invitations are an important part of the preparation of wedding ceremony.  A wedding invitation is the first step towards the success of a wedding party. A wedding invitation requires equal attention as the other preparations require. A wedding invitationshould be attractive enough to lure the invitees towards your wedding celebration. ·         The names should be spelled out in full including the middle name.

·         Roman numerals should be used instead of “fourth or 4th” while writing the names

·         All the words including the hour, the date and the year should be written.

·         All the words in the address should be written completely so as not to risk any confusion in understanding the address.

·         Designation should be used for guests from military, professors, doctors and deans.

·         “Request the honor of your presence” should be used if the wedding is taking place in some place of religious faith and importance whereas “request the pleasure of your company” if the party is informal and not religious or traditional.

·         The wedding invitation should be such that it sets the tone of the party. Recently various modern invitations have found their way in the market using the Japanese designs. Following are some ways of making your invitation unique:

·         Unusual colors, style etc can be used.

·         Instead of normal paper a metallic material can be used.

·         Leaf or a flower petal can be used as a paper material.

·         You can style and design your wedding invitations for making it unique according to your own ideas. The key is to keep the wedding invitation simple and elegant yet attractive.
